Makerere University wants more efforts to improve eye care
Eye care experts at Makerere University hospital have tasked the government to increase support for the number of eye specialists to alleviate the burden currently faced by the few eye care specialists in the country. The experts point out that there is a shortage of ophthalmologists, and that most optometrists end up working in private health facilities.
