Members of Parliament call for more regulations to limit polythene use
Members of Parliament on the Committee of Environment and Natural Resources have expressed the need for the government to establish proper regulations on the percentage of local plastic material that is recycled as well as what is imported. During an oversight tour of different recycling plants in the country, members of the committee on Natural Resources discovered that the percentage of plastic in imported materials exceeds what is recycled locally.
