Nalukoola urges court to dismiss Nambi’s election petition
Kawempe North MP Elias Luyimbazi Nalukoola has filed a reply to the election petition filed by Faridah Nambi, in which she contests the results of the March 13th by-election, where she emerged as the runner-up. In her petition, Nambi, who was the NRM's candidate, alleged that the by-election was characterized by multiple offences and irregularities. She wants the court to nullify the election of Nalukoola and order a fresh by-election. But as Daniel Kibet reports, Nalukoola, in his reply, argues that the petition against him is misconceived and wants the court to dismiss it with costs.
