New fraud reporting platform launched amid surge in cases
Financial institutions have launched a central fraud reporting platform where all institutions will report fraud cases. The platform will also be accessed by the central bank, the police, and the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. The recent police crime report indicates that fraud cases, across the country, have increased by more than 100 percent. Collin Muhwezi reports.
