NUP prepares for 2026 amid echoes of 2021 election violence
The opposition’s National Unity Platform party is gearing up for the 2026 campaign season, despite the violence, injuries, and mass arrests of its members during the 2021 elections. The party is currently in the final stages of vetting hundreds of potential candidates for Lord and division councillor positions in Kampala and other regions throughout the country.
