Over 14,000 drivers trained for Uganda’s oil and gas sector
The Petroleum Authority of Uganda has overseen the graduation of over 14,000 drivers who will be working in the country’s oil and gas sector.
James Musherure, the Senior National Content Manager at the Petroleum Authority of Uganda, said that as the country prepares for first oil production, more than $30 million has been invested in training initiatives to ensure that Ugandans benefit from the sector.
He made the remarks during the pass-out ceremony of 30 heavy equipment operators in Hoima City. The trainees were equipped by CNOOC Uganda Limited in partnership with Zetta Energy Limited.
