President Museveni launches cement factory in Moroto
President Yoweri Museveni has launched a cement factory in Nadunget sub-county, Moroto district. The plant will have an output of 6000 tons per day. The factory is being set up by West International Holding Limited, a subsidiary of China West Cement Limited which has invested over 300 million USD in the region that will produce both cement and clinker. The President said he wants all the people in the Karamoja sub-region to benefit from the ongoing industrial development in the area and has pledged that the roads from Moroto to Kotido and Kaabong and that from Kitgum to Kidepo will be tarmacked.
