Private media urge President Museveni to reverse government advertising directive
The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) wants President Museveni to reverse his directive on government advertising going through the Uganda Broadcasting Corporation UBC and the New Vision. The directive sparked concerns over the potential creation of a monopoly and the legality of such actions. The association's members met the members of parliament's ICT committee.
