Health Ministry launches community workers programme
In August last year, the Ministry of Health, in partnership with the AIDS Support Organisation and Koboko Local Government, launched the Community Health Extension Workers program to address the high disease burden and critical shortage of health professionals, as well as to improve equitable access to health services in Uganda, as told by Rashul Adidi.
