Rising ulcers and typhoid among Ntungamo students sparks health alert
Health officials in the jurisdiction of Ntungamo are concerned about the rising incidence of ulcers and typhoid among learners and are calling for urgent attention to address the matter. The concern arose during a two-day medical camp organized by the alumni of Muntuyera High School Kitunga in Ntungamo, as a way of giving back to both the community and current students. According to the chief organizer, Dr. Edgar Richard Kirabo, ulcers and typhoid were the most commonly detected diseases among students at Muntuyera High School, Kitunga. At the same time, hypertension and high blood pressure were most common among community members. Over 1,500 people benefited from the first day of the second edition of the medical camp.
