Speaker Among directs Stadium Inspection by CAF within two weeks
The Parliamentary Speaker, Anita Among, has directed the State Minister for Sports, Hamson Obua, to invite the Confederation of African Football to inspect the Mandela National Stadium in Namboole within two weeks to assess its appropriateness for tournaments. The directive came as the Speaker visited the stadium, where she confirmed that the UPDF Engineering Brigade had received 17 billion shillings to complete the renovation works. She says that with works now at 87% completion, the stadium should be ready in two weeks' time.
