UMA urges immediate funding for medical intern deployment
The Uganda Medical Association has called for the immediate allocation of supplementary funds to address the deployment of medical interns. Over 1,000 medical interns were not deployed, primarily due to a lack of sufficient funding. Dr. Herbert Luswata, the president of UMA, says there is a need for the government to prioritize health sector issues because they are critical to all Ugandans.
