UN Population Fund launches project to restore 450 hectares of wetland in Ntungamo
The United Nations Population Fund has launched a project in Ntungamo to reduce wetland degradation. Under the project, locals will be deployed in the initiative to restore at least 450 hectares of depleted wetland space. The restoration project has started with the covering of trenches in the Rwoho Wetland in Rwoho Town Council and will cover three wards: Kirera, Kitojo, and Mushasha, an effort aimed at restoring the Rwoho-Kyabwato Wetland.
