Records show that West Nile has a total of 1,012 Kony War victims, of whom only 103 have been compensated to date.
On Thursday this week, around 100 members of the Kony War Victims Association held a demonstration in Arua City, demanding compensation worth Shs99 billion for the loss of life and property during the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) insurgency.
While addressing the demonstrators, former Ayivu MP Bernard Atiku and former Arua Municipality MP Kasiano Wadri accused the NRM government of neglecting LRA war victims in the West Nile region.
