A survivor of the YY bus crash that caught fire on Katosi Road in February this year is still suffering from injuries sustained in the incident. He is now requesting that the YY Bus Company continue covering his medical treatment until he fully recovers.
However, the company had already paid him UGX 4 million, and he signed a contract confirming that both parties had agreed to settle the matter at that point.
Police have confirmed that the survivor withdrew the case, but lawyers are now advising a review of the circumstances under which the agreement was signed, raising concerns about whether it was made under fair and informed conditions.
