China – Uganda relations: Government lays out key priorities

Uganda and the People’s Republic of China have reaffirmed their commitment to people-centered development with the launch of the 2024 Corporate Social Responsibility Report by the China Chamber of Commerce in Uganda.

Speaking at the event, the 3rd Deputy Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Lukia Nakadama, quoted President Museveni, emphasizing that Uganda’s cooperation with China is rooted in production and trade—not merely consumption—which she noted is crucial for Africa’s long-term development.
