The Minister of Internal Affairs, Kahinda Otafiire, has called for fairness in the treatment of opposition politician Dr. Kizza Besigye, stating that he should be tried in court rather than kept in detention if no evidence can be brought against him.
Otafiire made the remarks while speaking at the inaugural memorial lecture in honor of the late opposition stalwart, Sam Kalega Njuba.
