Buganda raises UGX 2.9 billion for HIV/AIDS response, reports major progress

The Kingdom of Buganda has reported a major milestone in its HIV/AIDS response efforts, revealing that Shs 2.9 billion was collected through the Kabaka’s 70th Birthday Run. The money has been utilized to support prevention, testing, and awareness initiatives across Buganda.

Robert Waggwa Nsibirwa, the Minister of Finance in the Buganda Kingdom, revealed that HIV transmission rates in Buganda have dropped by 78 percent over the past five years.
