NDA uncovers massive theft of government drugs worth Shs13 Billion

Since 2019, the National Drug Authority (NDA) has been conducting a series of operations targeting illegal drug outlets. However, what has been most astonishing is the discovery of stolen government drugs in some private health facilities—an issue that has since drawn the attention of the Cabinet, prompting a shift in focus.

According to the NDA, stolen government drugs worth over 13 billion shillings have been recovered since 2019, and over 60 individuals have been arrested, 44 of whom are government health workers.
