Uganda strengthens cervical cancer fight with major screening boost in Mbarara

Cervical cancer remains Uganda’s leading cause of cancer-related illness and death among women. Now, a new partnership is stepping up the fight. The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Uganda Cancer Institute and the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare, has boosted cancer screening efforts by donating equipment and medical supplies to 20 health facilities across Mbarara City and Mbarara District.
