Campaign countdown
: Just three days until presidential battle begins

Following the successful nomination of eight candidates for the 2026 presidential race, the Electoral Commission is finalising the campaign roadmap for the candidates. Campaigns are scheduled to begin next Monday, September 29th. According to the Commission’s spokesperson, Julius Mucunguzi, any candidate who campaigns before the official start date will violate the laws governing the presidential race and may face legal action.
