Collins Tanga has described the NRM Election Disputes Tribunal’s decision to nullify his victory as “unjust and unfair.” The tribunal’s ruling was based on several issues, most notably a conflict of interest, given that Tanga is the son of Tanga Odoi, the chairperson of the NRM Electoral Commission.
The nullification followed petitions from Brenda Kiconco, Wilson Otto, and Mackline Natukwasa, all of whom were candidates in the NRM Youth League chairperson race.
