EALA MPs want uniform motor insurance policy

The East African Legislative Assembly has endorsed a motion which recommends setting up a uniform insurance motor cover policy for the East African Community. They believe that a harmonized motor cover will cut down the extra cost incurred as a condition for a vehicle to cross the border into a partner state. Their recommendations are coupled with concern about the time wasted in processing the third-party insurance at various border posts.
