: local communities urged to empower youths and women

Local communities in the Ankole Sub-region have been encouraged to empower youth and women to actively participate in the current economic system by involving them in income-generating activities, such as farming.

Speaking on Saturday during a dissemination meeting to review the midterm findings of Ripple Effect Uganda’s youth-inclusive dairy market systems project, Pamella Ebanyatta, the Country Director of Ripple Effect Uganda, noted that the project has been running for the past three years across nine districts in Ankole.
