Lukwago writes to IGG, LOP over Nakivubo

Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has written to the Inspectorate General of Government to investigate businessman Hamis Kiggundu’s intentions to upgrade Nakivubo channel, the largest drainage channel in Kampala. As NTV’s DANIEL KIBET reports, Kiggundu specifically plans to cover the channel and establish green public spaces, rest areas, pedestrian zones and walkways in a bid to improve Kampala’s outlook. But Lord Mayor Lukwago claims Kiggundu is doing so illegally and wants his project halted.
