Lawmakers call for increased recruitment in healthcare services

Parliament is urging the government to develop a comprehensive plan to enhance healthcare nationwide, instead of focusing solely on specific hospitals. This plan should include infrastructure rehabilitation and ensuring easy access to medication for all Ugandans. Additionally, Members of Parliament are calling for an increase in the recruitment of doctors in hospitals founded by religious organizations, as they provide vital medical services to the people of Uganda. These concerns were addressed during today’s parliamentary session.
