Makerere University resumes Guild campaigns with safety measures

Makerere University has resumed open guild campaigns, which were previously suspended after the tragic death of a student during earlier campaign activities. Vice Chancellor Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe explained that the decision was made in light of a renewed understanding and agreement to balance freedom with responsibility. He emphasized that upcoming campaigns must be conducted peacefully and in a way that does not disrupt academic activities or pose risks to people and property. Norbert Atukunda reports.
