EC orders RDCs to respect candidates’ rally rights

The Electoral Commission has directed resident district commissioners not to interfere with or relocate presidential candidates from their scheduled campaign rally locations. EC Chairman Simon Byabakama stated that disrupting candidates is illegal, emphasizing that each candidate has the right to campaign freely and seek voter support. He made the remarks today while meeting with representatives of presidential candidates and the police.
