Museveni gives billions to mechanics, MCs

While arts and humanities teachers are still demanding salary enhancements, the government has instead injected Shs11.1 billion into SACCOs for mechanics, Master of Ceremonies (MCs), and Industrial Skilling Hub beneficiaries across the country. The funds target informal sector groups in all five divisions of Kampala, 18 zonal regions, and 176 administrative units, including districts, cities, and municipalities. The funds were officially handed over today at State Lodge, Nakasero, where President Museveni presided over the ceremony, urging that the money be offered at very low interest rates.
