Today, Parliament passed a motion praising the Uganda Cranes players who participated in the recently concluded African Nations Championship (CHAN 2024), where they reached the quarterfinals of the tournament.
The motion also urged the government to begin funding football clubs in the Uganda Premier League, recognizing their crucial role in nurturing talent for the national team.
During today’s parliamentary session, it was also confirmed that the UGX 2.4 billion allocated by the government as a reward for the players has already been credited to their accounts.
