UNATU rejects government’s plea to resume teaching

The Uganda National Teachers Union (UNATU), the local government workers’ union, and representatives from technical schools have committed to maintaining their strike until the government agrees to promptly raise their salaries. This stance follows their petition to Parliament, highlighting the salary disparities between them and their colleagues who teach science subjects.
