Uganda’s Vision 2040 aims to transform the country from a peasant society to a modern, prosperous nation within 30 years. The private sector plays a critical role in realizing this vision, contributing 77% of formal jobs, 80% of GDP, 60% of all investments, and over 80% of government domestic revenues. It also employs approximately 2.5 million people. As the country plans for FY 24/25, we speak with Ivan Otim of Uganda Youth Development Link and Kenneth Asiimwe, Economist at CSBAG.
