Among directs that payments be made to suppliers on Roko
The Speaker of Parliament Annet Anita Among has asked the Parliamentary Commission to halt the payment of any money to Roko Construction Company; which is undertaking the construction of the new Parliament chambers. Among says instead the money should be paid to companies that supply construction materials to Roko. This follows the submission by the Leader of Opposition in Parliament who told MPs that the company recently blocked MPs who were in their oversight role from accessing the company offices in Kawempe, Kampala.
