Journalists petition Uganda Human Rights Commission over Kawempe North violence
Journalists assaulted by security personnel during the Kawempe North by-election have today gathered at the Uganda Human Rights Commission (UHRC) to formally denounce the violence. They described the attacks as direct violations of their right to freedom of expression.
