425 players compete in Taibah schools badminton tournament
At least 425 badminton players from over 30 schools are taking part in this year's Taibah Schools Badminton Tournament, which started yesterday at the indoor arena in Lugogo. The three-day tournament, which is well known for nurturing many of the badminton national team players, was last played in 2019. Just like in the previous edition, youngsters are competing in the under-19 category, among other age categories, with the intention to hone their skills and become better players. Winners will be awarded trophies and medals tomorrow when the event ends.
