NRM to challenge Kawempe North by-election results in court
The ruling NRM party leadership has resolved to challenge the outcome of the Kawempe North by-election in court. A day after the Electoral Commission declared Erias Nalukoola Luyimbazi as the MP-elect for the constituency, NRM Secretary General Richard Todwong stated that they are displeased with the realization that votes from some parts of Kawempe North were not considered. Todwong added that the party's Central Executive Committee has resolved to seek legal redress in the matter.
