EC urges voter verification amid low turnout
The Electoral Commission has rallied all eligible Ugandan voters to spare time and cross-check the particulars of their names in the voters' register. This comes amid a generally low voter turnout as the Commission commenced the display exercise of the National Voters Register and registers for Special Interest Groups (Youths, PWDs, Older Persons) across the country. Meanwhile, 620 polling stations will have to wait a little longer before the exercise can begin in those areas, with the EC calling for patience.
