500+ kids in Arua city run to raise nutrition awareness
More than 500 kids in Arua City participated in a run aimed at raising awareness about good nutrition. The "Tender Mother Malnutrition Run 2024," organized by Tender Mothers Uganda, was intended to address the rising cases of malnutrition in the region. Organizers plan to use the funds raised to support malnourished families. Arua City has reported a malnutrition prevalence rate of 10.4%, higher than the national rate of 5.6%, according to a recent UNICEF report.
