Barbie narrates house arrest ordeal
“We slept in turns, unsure of what would happen the next day.” The words of Barbara Itungo, wife of NUP Leader Robert Kyagulanyi narrating her experience when they were confined to their house in Magere, Wakiso district for 11 days. Itungo told NTV that at one point their food supplies ran out and they were forced to stretch the remaining rations, uncertain of how long the restrictions on their movement would last. And although the army and police have now withdrawn from their home, Itungo does not feel safe.
