Cassava disease outbreak halts cutting distribution in Northern Uganda
The outbreak of cassava brown streak has forced agronomists to halt the sale and distribution of cassava cuttings in several parts of northern Uganda. Officials at the National Agricultural Research Organisation say they are reviewing the distribution approach to stop the spread of the crop disease. Thousands of people in the region heavily rely on the crop for food and income.
