Entebbe, KCCA uncertain about an alternative dump site
The four-day deadline given to the Kampala Capital City Authority to dump garbage at the Nkumba Bukolwa dump site expired last night. Consequently, Entebbe Municipality Authorities have ordered KCCA to find an alternative dump site. However, the KCCA says that they will continue to send garbage trucks to Entebbe until Friday, following an appeal to Entebbe Municipality, until a permanent solution can be found. As our reporters found today, several garbage-laden trucks are stranded at Nkumba Bukolwa, waiting for a chance to offload their contents.
