FATE OF NUP SUPPORTERS: Court martial yet again denies bail to suspects
Lawyers representing 36 members of the National Unity Platform party who were denied bail in the General Court Martial say they will petition the High Court after the Army Court chaired by Lt. Gen. Andrew Gutti denied them bail for the second time. The 36, who were charged with being in possession of four rounds of ammunition, were remanded back to Kitalya Prison, on grounds that they are likely to engage in violent acts. However, the court chairman did not indicate the date of hearing the case.
