Finance Minister urges inequality action amid report
Minister of Finance Matia Kasaija has called for concerted and enhanced efforts from all government MDAs to address inequality and avoid disaster in the country. He made the call while receiving a report from the Equal Opportunities Commission on compliance of budget estimates and ministerial policy statements with Gender and Equity requirements, registering no improvement. The assessment looks at measures taken to equalize opportunities for men, women, as well as persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups.
