Govt to address tea matter, draft national tea policy
The Central Government will designate tea factories under the Export Processing Zone in a bid to reduce production costs for tea producers. Recently, tea growers in Bushenyi District cut down their plantations over falling prices which came down to as low as 100 shillings per kilogram compared to the 450 shillings they had been earning previously.
