Great lakes legislators want rebels to surrender
Ambassadors representing various Great Lakes countries in Kinshasa have proposed that all negative forces in the Eastern part of Congo should surrender to pave the way for the dialogue. Speaking to NTV, Ambassador Onyongo Kakoba the Secretary General of the Forum of Parliaments of the International Conference on Great Lakes region said that the government of Congo will be the one to facilitate the plans of demobilization of the rebels that have been a source of insecurity in the mineral-rich province for decades. The forum leadership and heads of committees on peace and security met the ambassadors in Kinshasa. Sudhir Byaruhanga reports.
