Health activist want equity in access to medicines
Health experts are calling on leaders on the African continent to advocate for inequalities in access and production of vaccines, diagnostics and therapeutics meant to treat pandemics. Emmanuel Lutamaguzi, the Executive Director of the Hepatitis Aid Organization says the discrepancies in the care and resource allocation to patients in Uganda have created a big gap in accessing care for pandemics, compared to their counterparts in the developed world.
