Insurance Authority urges companies to prioritize customer privacy
The Insurance Regulatory Authority has asked insurance company executives to be vigilant about how to protect the privacy of their customers. Ibrahim Kaddunabi Lubega, the CEO of the authority, says it is the responsibility of insurance companies to ensure that people’s privacy is not infringed upon, especially at a time when online fraud is on the rise. Lubega states that the need to invest heavily in security infrastructure and data protection technology is critical, as cyber attacks against organizations are rampant. This was discussed during the 5th Annual International Insurance Conference held in Fort Portal City, which was organized by the Insurance Training College.
