Kabaka Mutebi at 70: Buganda's Katikkiros remembered
According to Buganda Kingdom norms, every king, known as the Kabaka, appoints a prime minister referred to by the title Katikkiro to help rule over the kingdom. However, history has shown that the Katikkiro often goes through untold challenges. Some Katikkiros have been loved and hated in equal measure by the kingdom's subjects. In our series to celebrate the 70th birthday of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, we look at the different Katikkiros and their contributions to the Buganda Kingdom amidst the challenges.
