Landslide damages homes in Kasese
A landslide, caused by heavy rainfall, has damaged several houses in Nyakabugha Cell, Ibanda-Kyanya Town Council in Kasese District. Residents say the landslide occurred near a water flow line belonging to Kilembe Mines Limited. Several people whose houses were destroyed are now homeless. Kasese District Senior Planner, who also serves as the district secretary for the Disaster Reduction Committee, Joseph Singoma, says the affected people will be assisted.
