Northern Uganda Cluster to perform hymns and traditional Agwara dance at Martyrs’ Day celebrations
The Northern Uganda Cluster of the Church of Uganda is planning to perform at least 20 hymns and anthems during the Martyrs' Day celebrations at the Anglican site in Namugongo. According to the order of service, several traditional songs reflecting the culture of the people of Northern Uganda have been lined up for the day. Among the performances is the Agwara dance, which is expected to bring the celebrations to life. In the following report, NTV’s Daniel Kibet explains what the Agwara dance is and how the dancers are preparing to deliver a spectacular display of tradition.
